Slacking Family!

Sorry guys, keeping up with a blog is harder than it seems! However, we've also just moved so getting settled into a whole new place might have something to do with that!

First, let us share with you our big boy Max's first birthday! That's right, that tiny little bundle that was just born, is now a walking, talking, climbing, yelling little toddler! :) We had a birthday party at our friends Clark and Andrea's house, who have a little girl Paige, who turned 2 on the same day! Our other friend Drew turned 3 about a week earlier, so lots of birthday in January!

Kid playing!

Birthday boy stealing shoes.

Pops and baby boy!

First bite of sweetness!

Notice June pulling her friend in with a rope!

Almost there!

And then Max fell face first into the dirt, and all fun was over, lol.

Ahhh, good 'ole Holidays!

Happy Holidays to all! It was a wonderful season for us this year, hope for you all as well. We missed our distant families terribly though! However, we were blessed with lots of cards from home and even gifts to remind us and the kids how loved we are!

Okay, here are ALL the pictures from Christmas. This year June really got to understand what Christmas is about, both in respect to the Baby Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas, to Santa, Christmas lists, and wishing for presents! As you'll see, we baked, iced, and left out cookies for Santa, and June was such a wonderful, sweet girl this year, to have deserved every present she opened! And Max, well, he liked the food, and his toys for about 5 minutes at a time :)

When Junes awake (each morning as soon as it is even dawn)...
Everyone's awake!
Whether they want to be or not!

Cookies and milk for Santa.

Early morning huddle, hehe.

More cookies ...

Yummy treats ...

And for a 3 year old, the best of all ...
Presents!

And, her long awaited roller skates.
She immediately proclaimed
"Aww, Santa should have gotten me TWO roller skates for TWO feet!"
The second one is in the box! She was so cute.

Their tent, which broke after 5 minutes!

Max's ball popper. He was mesmerized.

And a first try in the kitchen! She's getting it!

Happy New Year!!!

Halloween! Part two!

Hard to believe that after all the hoop-la, Halloween is over for another year. We did lots of fun stuff this season. June picked her own costume this year. At first she wanted to be a princess, but then realized she could be something else (still not tellin'!), and has been obsessed with it since. Super cute!

We did a "trunk-or-treat" at our church. June got lots of attention there.
We also did a "trick-or-treat under the sea" at the Aquarium here. Way too crowded, and our camera SD card ate the pictures from that trip :(
We went to a Halloween Festival where June got to go on a Hayride, and bounce in a bounce house, and play games. And today we went to a similar event called a Fall Festival at the elementary school where June will be going. The weather is definitely getting colder, but fun is still to be had!

On Halloween night we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, and a neighborhood next door which is a very popular destination, and got to see a firetruck and of course get LOTS of candy. Phew. Too much. June declared the next day that she will be going hungry from now on at dinner, and eat only candy. Good luck with that girlie!

And Max, well, as long as hes warm and snuggly, and has something to munch on, he's usually pretty happy! But he's got 4 teeth and is crawling and cruising and getting into everything. :)

Enjoy the pictures :)

After all the suspense, here's June's costume:

She was Jesse from Toy Story, one of her favorite movies!

She's not always into looking at the camera, heh.

Mom and June at the park on Halloween!

The Halloween Festival:

Max had a "wild thing" costume on, and he
was also a tiger, but found none of them appealing.

You can't really tell too well, but that's the hayride!
Avoiding the camera again :)

Requested a "purple pumpkin" for her face painting.

Bouncing!

And eatin' up some cotton candy.
Not sure if she's even ever had it before.

Wild Thing Max :)

Papa with Max, getting sun in his eyes!

And last, but not least, a few shots from Halloween night.
Didn't have a whole lot of time to take pictures!

June and her best friend Greysen.

Happy Halloween!!!!

Halloween! Part one.

Oh how we love Halloween! What a great start to the holiday season. This year, June has picked her own costume out, but you'll have to stay tuned until after Halloween to find out what it is! It's super cute, and totally her, we'll tell you that! We had the pleasure of picking out a pumpkin ...

And carving it too! ...

And Max wanted to EAT the pumpkin, but settled
for some applesauce instead.

Gymnastics!

We've discovered a really great gymnastics studio that offers "free play" every Thursday. I think we'll become regular visitors! We had so much fun! The other girl in the picture is June's best friend in the whole wide world, Greysen.

And brother Max enjoyed it too!
His friend (eating his head), is Greysen's little sister, Lilly.
