Halloween! Part two!

Hard to believe that after all the hoop-la, Halloween is over for another year. We did lots of fun stuff this season. June picked her own costume this year. At first she wanted to be a princess, but then realized she could be something else (still not tellin'!), and has been obsessed with it since. Super cute!

We did a "trunk-or-treat" at our church. June got lots of attention there.
We also did a "trick-or-treat under the sea" at the Aquarium here. Way too crowded, and our camera SD card ate the pictures from that trip :(
We went to a Halloween Festival where June got to go on a Hayride, and bounce in a bounce house, and play games. And today we went to a similar event called a Fall Festival at the elementary school where June will be going. The weather is definitely getting colder, but fun is still to be had!

On Halloween night we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, and a neighborhood next door which is a very popular destination, and got to see a firetruck and of course get LOTS of candy. Phew. Too much. June declared the next day that she will be going hungry from now on at dinner, and eat only candy. Good luck with that girlie!

And Max, well, as long as hes warm and snuggly, and has something to munch on, he's usually pretty happy! But he's got 4 teeth and is crawling and cruising and getting into everything. :)

Enjoy the pictures :)

After all the suspense, here's June's costume:

She was Jesse from Toy Story, one of her favorite movies!

She's not always into looking at the camera, heh.

Mom and June at the park on Halloween!

The Halloween Festival:

Max had a "wild thing" costume on, and he
was also a tiger, but found none of them appealing.

You can't really tell too well, but that's the hayride!
Avoiding the camera again :)

Requested a "purple pumpkin" for her face painting.

Bouncing!

And eatin' up some cotton candy.
Not sure if she's even ever had it before.

Wild Thing Max :)

Papa with Max, getting sun in his eyes!

And last, but not least, a few shots from Halloween night.
Didn't have a whole lot of time to take pictures!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Halloween! Part one.

Oh how we love Halloween! What a great start to the holiday season. This year, June has picked her own costume out, but you'll have to stay tuned until after Halloween to find out what it is! It's super cute, and totally her, we'll tell you that! We had the pleasure of picking out a pumpkin ...

And carving it too! ...

And Max wanted to EAT the pumpkin, but settled
for some applesauce instead.

Gymnastics!

We've discovered a really great gymnastics studio that offers "free play" every Thursday. I think we'll become regular visitors! We had so much fun! The other girl in the picture is June's best friend in the whole wide world, Greysen.

And brother Max enjoyed it too!
His friend (eating his head), is Greysen's little sister, Lilly.

Baby Max!

He's a keeper. Even his sister thinks so! Last night while she was sleeping, and I laying next to them both, she opened her eyes, pulled the blanket up to the baby's neck, and went back to sleep. It was a very sweet moment! We love to watch them growing to be friends!

And this is Max (7 months) indulging in his first attack-style watermelon feast. Yum! He lovveed it.

And June watching Max eat watermelon!

Summer fun is almost done!

Well, it's hard to believe summer is almost over! Despite terribly hot and humid days, we have had such a great summer, and made so many wonderful memories. The nearby boardwalk is never short on family fun, and has been one of June's favorite activities this year. They offer carnival rides, face painting, kid's games, music, and oh my, Dora and Spongebob characters every week! We'll miss those nights this fall for sure.

Welcome!

So, this post marks the first post in our new family blog! We just want our dear family and friends to be able to keep up with our ever-changing family whenever they want. We've had some whirlwind years as of late. Hope you enjoy!

First, Loren and I made a big move from our home in Montana, to set up roots in North Carolina. Although it has not been without its challenges, we are growing to love Carolina Beach. Not long after our big move, we found out we were expecting a baby! We were very shocked to say the least! But 9 months later we gave birth to our wonderful daughter June Anais, who is now a big 3 year old, and a big sister! Our much anticipated son Maxwell Edison made his entrance into the world in January of 2010, so he's still just a tiny baby boy. We feel so blessed and just, beyond words, to have such amazing kids. We couldn't be more overjoyed. Some things remain tight, but overall we are loving life.

Stay tuned!
